禁煙３日目

Suddenly having come up with an idea, I've started putting it into action since January 29th.
The idea that is now terribly torturing me and will continue to do so for what seems to me like an eternity is trying to quit smoking!
When working, reading a book or browsing the Net, or after having a meal, I found myself thinking about smoking all the time, and needless to say, what is now occupying almost all of my mind is to take a drag on a cigarette once more.
I feel like I'm going insane with an irresistible urge!
I can't concentrate on my work and reading, let alone writing this blog.
I don't know whether or not I'll be able to give up smoking completely.

数日前までは素晴らしい思いつきだと思っていたはずなのに、脳はおろか、髪の先から爪の先まで、禁断症状という名の苦しみが駆け巡る今、どうしてそんな馬鹿げた考えに取り憑かれたのか、自分でも全く理解できません。
もはや修復不可能とさえ思える私の健康状態を云々するより、困窮する日本経済や税収を、猫の額ほどでも、雀の涙ほどでも押し上げるべく、この身を投げ出した方が感謝されるのではないかとさえ思わせるニコチン、恐るべし。
ニコチンにより破壊される脳細胞の影響よりも、ニコチンがきれたことによる脳細胞の一斉ストライキの方が、人体に与える影響は甚大で深刻なのですね。
英語どころか、まともな日本語さえ出てきません。
いつでも、誰にでも、どんな些細な事ででも、本気で噛み付いてしまいそうな自分が少し恐い、禁煙３日目の私です。　ウガー！
